Late Vacation

Hi y'all! Tomorrow myself, as well at M and my mother are flying down to Florida! St. Augustine to be exact. My grandparents live in the area, and it's about time for a visit and vacation. I will be blogging from Florida, I'm hoping. See, when I go away, I refuse to bring any technology other then my cell phone. I don't like anything distracting me from quality time with my husband, family, or friends. It's actually quite a refreshing experience.

However, since we are staying with my grandparents, I can only assume they will be in bed EARLY. Which will leave a little lounging time in the evening for blogging. I'm going to try something new, and do daily outfit posts. I think it will be fun to do, but keep the blogging short and sweet to get back to that quality family time. My first post will be Monday! Happy blogging y'all!

P.S. The puppygirls are staying with my aunt and two teenage cousins. They are in EXCELLENT hands, but we dropped them off this afternoon and I miss them already!

Just a quick little fun post. I didn't include the obvious cell phone, wallet, etc. These are things you will NEVER catch me without.

Fall Nail Polish

The temperatures are dropping and the air is becoming crisp. Fall is so vastly approaching here in NY. It is indeed my favorite season, nail polish colors included. Put away those hot pinks and bright corals (not that I wear them anyway) and break out the dark 'muddy' colors of fall.

Here are my favorite (and only.. because ladies, excess is not cute) fall nail polishes

RIMMEL LASTING FINISH PRO in STEEL GREY

Taupe color at it's finest.

Many say it is almost an exact dupe for Commander in Chic and also OPI's Metro Chic

CONFETTI LONG WEARING NAIL COLOR in MOONSTRUCK
It is INCREDIBLY similar to the above color, with a smidgen more purple undertones.

OPI's YOU DON'T KNOW JACQUES
A taupe color with brown undertones

PURE ICE in KISS ME HERE
An average dark gray

And of course, for sophisticated events, a pale pink is always in order. I recently purchased a brand Sinful Colors for the first time. Although I am not too impressed with the streaky formula, the color is just a lovely color.

A perfect pale pink. Takes 3 coats to make even, but the patience is worth the pay off.

A sheer pink color with smooth applying iridescence.

So, those are what I will be wearing on my nails this fall season. I just LOVE fall. Expect more fall posts to come, including fashion, beauty, and body care

Any of y'all that have read my blogs know that one of my all time favorite perfumes is Pretty by Elizabeth Arden. E.A. is definitely not a brand I go to for products, but I just can't get enough of this fragrance.

It started with the ads

I mean, who wouldn't want to be surrounded be laying on a gorgeous vintage love seat, surrounded by pink peonies in a beautiful chiffon cream dress? I FELL IN LOVE with the ad WAY before I ever smelt the perfume.

Then I smelled the fragrance

Girly . Feminine . Floral .
Perfect for daytime to spritz on and instantly feel more girly.

In my research I decided to find the inspiration behind the perfume

A lovely fragrance inspired by ones adoration of his wife. It's just so... romantic.

Romance is in the air

Do you feel it? I sure do! I am SUCH a hopless romantic. I wake up everyday and love to think I'm in a sappy romance novel. The lovely things that I adore so much, ruffles, lace, and so on are ALL things that remind me of romance.

The reason for this post is because I recently had a 'date day' with my husband, and it all centered around...you guessed it, ROMANCE.
