The place that will inspire you...

Let's hear it for New York, New York! Yes, Very exciting new y'all! M goes active duty in Oct, which leaves us just a few months left before the crazy 8 year-long commitment to the Army starts. Being newlyweds, we wanted to do something exciting, or as Julia Roberts says is the Eat, Pray, Love trailer, *We want to marvel at something*. What better to do then move from Middle-of-Nowhere-Drunk-College-Town, PA to New York City! Thankfully we have friends in the city who were able to find us an apartment on such short notice. So, Only after 3 weeks of making the decision, M and I will be moving!! We couldn't be happier. Many people visit NYC but how fabulous would it be to tell some one you LIVED there. The biggest change will be for the pups. I joke that they used to run with horses (no joke) to running with... taxi cabs?? (BIG joke). Any way, we are planning and packing our little hearts out! The moving date is set for Aug 5th. If my blogs start to slip in posts the next couple weeks don't fret, I'll be back after the move is done! I'll take y'all on my wonderful new adventure every step of the way!

  4. So is he Reserve right now,and going through some kind of training? I dont understand why you're moving to NY unless he's already active duty...

  5. Techically he is considered Reserve. After you commission as a 2LT, you do not go straight to your career field (M's is MP). You have to wait until the next wave of training starts. For MP's that is Oct.- And when the training starts, so does his active duty status. Since we have still have a few months before he leaves for training we have decided to spend that time in NYC.
