Paris, je t'aime

I love everything about France- the romance, the culture, the history. I'll be doing a series of posts on Paris and it's fashion. For now, here are just some beauties to keep you dreaming...

Versatile Blogger Award

The beautiful Julie at Brown Eyed Belle awarded me the Versatile blogger award! My very first award! How lovely thank you! I am supposed to post some things about myself then tag people. Well, I do not have many followers, so tagging people may be hard and I will keep all the facts beauty/fashion related. Here goes!

1. I LOVE my job. I am not our 9-5 person. I need flexibity. I currently work at a small designer boutique. I have my own keys to store and I love having that responsibity to come and go and basically run the store how I want. And when it's a slow day I get to tweet and blog to all you lovely ladies. Here are some pictures of the boutique:

2. I am obsessed with coats! I love them for all season (except summer of course) I just bought two fall coats yesterday and it's 101 degrees outside! I'll have to do a whole other post of my coat collection.

3. The clutch I used for my wedding was found in a vintage store. It was a 1954 hand beaded clutch. The most beautiful bag ever.

4. I am obsessed with all things French. Although, I LOVE wearing white which is nearly unheard of over there.

5. I HATE jeans. Well, not completely. You will see my in jeans when it's freezing out, but that's it. I am a dress girl all the way!

6. All woman TRULY need in their nail polish collection are 3 kinds of colors- the *perfect* red shade, Pink/nude, and a 'trendy' color- I love gray, taupe, or black.

7. Lace, ruffles, and rosettes are my life.

That's it for now y'all. Have a good week, I have some BIG news coming up!

Make-up on the go!

This weekend M and I are taking the 5 hour drive to NJ where our families live. M's parents are throwing him a grad/commissioning party. Now, I LOVE to travel and I love to pack. I enjoy putting full outfits together and planning agendas and making LISTS! I am such a list maker. Planning outfits ensures that I don't overpack. I hate clutter, and I am a minimalist in many ways. My closet is jamm packed, but when it comes to traveling. I like to go light. Here's my list of the LEAST amount of make-up to bring

Tinted Moisturizer (In winter it would be foundation)
Matte bronzer (I forego the setting powder in summer also)
Nuetral blush (goes with all outfits.. I love peach!)
Light/beige eyeshadow (daytime)
Nuetral crease color (buildable for nighttime and good for eyeliner)
Mascara & eyelash curler
Nude/pink lipstick/gloss

You want to find products that have more then on purpose. For example, face sticks or cream blushes can be used to eye shadow as well! There no need to carry a train case or even an entire palette. The more you pack, the more you have to carry!

If I were to get married again

I would have no guests. Just me and my husband and all of our love.

This is how I would would wear for ceremony:

Holding nothing but a simple bouquet of peonies

We would say our vows under a beautiful willow tree

This would be my aisle:

I would change into this dress for dinner: (which I already own.. just in case ;) )

We would have a buffet all to ourselves of fresh fruit and yummy cookies, cupcakes, and champagne

And dine on delicious french food over candle light, just the two of us:

Dancing the night away like no one is watching under moonlight:

We will revel in our love until the sunrise:

The next morning we would jet set our way to here:

Peachy Keen

My favorite drug store brand is Revlon, but the drugstores around here do not carry much of the cosmetic line. So, I am on the hunt! Revlon has come out with limited edition nail polishes and lip glosses which I am DYING to get my hands on!
First is there nail polish Peach Petal. It is the perfect pale peach/pink.

And the next is there Peach Petal lip gloss. Perfect shade!

I have literally been to every single drugstore/gorcery store/ etc. Have any of y'all seen them in stores near you? Which one? It would be such a shame to have to order them online because it is only two products. But it looks like I may have to!

4th of July Outfits

The 4th of July weekend is here!! It is one of my favorite holidays. Mid-summer, family and friends get together, good old fashion food, and the fireworks! Oh the fireworks! This year will be the first one my husband, M will be with me to celebrate (Last year he was at a military training camp). My outfit is already picked out and waiting to be worn! However, since I have a slight obsession with polyvore, I made some other ADORABLE options for this fun in the sun holiday!

Here are a couple tips for looking cute and being practical this holiday weekend.

This holiday is really more of a casual one, so keep the stilettos at home and throw on cute sandals or embellished flats.

Keep the handbags small, light, or having thin straps. Thick or heavy bags will start to feel like 100lbs by the end of the night.

Don't try to resemble the American flag. There are ways to use the three colors and not look tacky. Rule of thumb, pick TWO colors: either red and white OR blue and white and then ACCENT with the third.

Don't go out and buy something entirely new! Have a red cardigan you wear around Christmas time? If it's not too thick, use it!

To avoid how sweaty bangs, or pool hair- wear a cute headband or clip back those bangs.

I'll be back with what I'm wearing this 4th of July. Have a happy and SAFE holiday.
